Swiss distressed!
...over the proposed new banknote series. No wonder. Compared to the current banknotes (you can view the back side by holding your pointer over the image), they are rather ugly (though I sort of like the 1000 Franc note).
Though I wonder how distressed, when I had to find out about this in the IHT? Maybe it's a Zürich thing.

Thanks for posting this J :-)
On the site of the "current banknotes" one can also find some pictures of the new series if one clicks on the left onto "New banknote projects" and then scrolls down to the "Competition Results". They only show one side of the proposed bills so "the embrio" is not visible.
I then browsed a bit (slow day?) ;-) and found under the "All banknote series..." a reference to the 6th series that is then not shown "out of security reasons". Then I remembered that I once read that we have somewhere in a huge bank vault an already printed complete set of new banknotes in case the current banknotes get compromised on a large scale (e.g. forged). Within a very short period of time we could then exchange the complete set of bank notes. How very swiss of us :-)
Ignore husband's first paragraph. To see the proposed new banknotes just click on the word UGLY in my post.
